The future of passengers’ transport lies in Brazil

Not many people know about it, but Embraer has a division dedicated to the development of innovative concepts for the air transport. Recently, during the Uber Elevate 2018, which happened in May in Los Angeles, the company presented its first  eVTOL concept (short for electric vehicle for vertical landing), created in partnership with Uber.

The project’s goal is to create an airplane capable of transporting passengers in urban environments - safely, comfortably and cheaply. Besides this, the project aims little environmental impact and noise.

The company has also been working in its skyports, landing and takeoff spots for eVTOLs. They are still in the prototype phase, but the expectation is that the first real tests occur in 2020.
