New Ford makes 45 km with 1 liter

Unveiled last Monday (08), the new Escape PHEV 2020 will be launched soon in the North American market. 

With a range of approximately 60 km in fully electric mode, this SUV variant will compete with the Toyota RAV4 Prime in the USA. Offering four driving modes, the engine combines 2.5 liters with an electric propeller.

Its lithium battery has 14.4 kWh and can be fully recharged in three hours, plugged into a 240V outlet. The recharge time is between 10 and 11 hours, according to Ford.


Capable of traveling 160 km with each gallon of fuel, the Ford Escape PHEV 2020 can make 43.24 with just 1 liter of gasoline. The novelty received a rating of 100 MPGe (miles per gallon of equivalent fuel) by the EPA, dominating the top of its category.

With a value suggested by the automaker of US $ 35 thousand, equivalent to R $ 173 thousand, at the quotation of the day, in direct conversion - this price may be reduced by the government, due to the incentive to electric cars.
