SpaceX was founded by famous technology billionaire Elon Musk in 2002 (also CEO of Tesla Motors). Since then, it has been surprising over the past 18 years with reusable rockets - making access to space cheaper with manned missions to the International Space Station (ISS)..

Falcon 1

In honor of the Star Wars "Millennium Falcon", due to its unique propellant, the rocket was developed for testing. There were five launches between 2006 and July 2009, with failure in the first three and success only in September 2008.

Falcon 9

With 9 thrusters, Falcon 9 made its first flight in June 2010, putting the first generation of Dragon capsule into orbit. In 10 years there were 113 launches, of which 111 were successful.

Grasshopper

The prototype was developed to gain the Falcon 9 landing experience. It was not a commercial rocket, but designed for low-altitude flights in our atmosphere. In October 2013, the Grasshopper reached an altitude of 744 meters.

Falcon Heavy

Crew Dragon

Starship

Much talked about in recent weeks, Starship is the current project of the company SpaceX. Development continues to accelerate with the intention of taking astronauts to the moon and colonizing Mars. The launch of the SN15 has been postponed to the beginning of May, but has yet to be determined.
