Go for tailoring!

The days when having tailored pants was something exclusive to those who worked in an office are gone. The suit lost its place as a robust outfit and gained lighter versions in recent years, with different models and totally different colors and thus became part of the modern wardrobe.

For specific occasions, such as weddings and other events (such as corporate), buying a suit, or even a blazer and dress pants, becomes a mission that is not always simple. But incorporating these pieces into everyday work and leisure can be much easier than it looks, after all you can already invest in a suit intentionally, thinking about how you will use the two pieces separately and matching the other clothes in your closet.

The pants of the suits, in recent years, have tapered and no longer have the wide mouths covering the shoes. There are those who like shorter pants (the so-called chino pants) or pants that are just less voluminous underneath, but still covering the heel and touching the shoe. The dress code rules in relation to the pants only say that the pants cannot be too much in the hem, creating an excess of fabric on top of the shoe, dragging on the floor. However, a thinner or a little wider pants is something that will be related to the style of the person who will wear it.

To get away from the classic, the tip is to bet on light-colored tailoring, such as shades of beige, olive green, blue, gray. To put aside the sober tones like black, lead and brown. The softer colors combine with dress shirts of all colors and prints, with polo shirts, sweaters and t-shirts. They allow a much wider range of combinations than dark tones, which may seem absurd, but it's true! Even the light suit itself can be worn with a T-shirt, rather than a shirt and tie. For the most stylish, the blazer can be layered with a hooded sweatshirt and gain a very modern look!

Tailoring pieces have a differentiated value. They are not simple or low-cost pieces, after all, they present better modeling and finishing, and can be adjusted at the time of purchase. It is even important to look for details during the purchase, such as pockets, belt loops, Italian bar, inner pockets, lining, etc. These details must be valued during the selection, so that they can fulfill their functions.

Men's fashion is betting on monochromatic looks this year, and tailoring fits this trend very well. If you're still uncomfortable with going all in one color, start with neutrals like black and gray. The result is so positive (and immediate) that you will soon be betting on blue, beige and earth tones looks. Another interesting color for the monochromatic look, and that has a masculine air, is olive or military green. The combination of tone on tone is also a good idea!

Investing in tailored pieces will certainly change your style, not to mention the multiplication of possible productions with blazers and pants that you can make using sneakers, knits, t-shirts without thinking about the serious corporate look. But you will still have great pieces in your wardrobe for work, with shirts and sweaters. Put it on your 'must have' list!
